New Garden Adventure
Buying a new home often means, for those who love to garden, starting from scratch. There is always more to consider than simply deciding what flowers you'd like to have in your garden(s). Moving into a home that rests on two wonderful acres opened a world of possibilities for us that we didn't have in our previous home which sat on a small 1/4 acre lot. Now we have the room for multiple gardens of various sizes as well as space for some vegitables!
So we began to think about plants we'd like to incorporate, locations for the beds, etc. We also began to look for garden centers and nurseries we hadn't been to before in hopes of finding specimins not generally found at the neighborhood Lowe's or Home Depot. Finding two nurseries in Frederick county proved fruitful, (haha!) and we were overjoyed at what we had to load into the truck.
So, this begins my gardening journal for 2010 at our home in Pleasant Valley.
